What to Expect
Carlingwood is a broad neighborhood that runs north-east from Golden Ave to Woodroffe Rd and north-south from the Sir John A. Macdonald parkway to Highway 417.
Being situated between upscale Westboro and the more modest Brittania, Carlingwood offers a nice balance.
Carlingwood is family oriented with a broad range of families and several retirement communities making up the demographics of the neighbourhood.
There are many great bike paths around the Carlingwood area. In the summer the parkway closes to vehicles and opens to cyclists and pedestrians.
Carlingwood Mall is in the neighbourhood making many amenities, stores, and services available to residents. Carlingwood Mall opened in 1956 and was one of the city’s first major shopping centers.
